Over half of all U.S. adults with a chronic condition do not take their medication as prescribed, resulting in poor outcomes and potentially expensive hospital admissions or readmissions. These patients either don’t take their medications correctly or do not even take their prescriptions at all. Often, they are simply forgetting to take their medication altogether. In our current environment, prescribers spend considerably less time with their patients and even less time educating them on their prescriptions. Since the pandemic has caused severe labor shortages, pharmacies are stretched thin and have little time to discuss the patient’s Rxs and the importance of compliance to increase efficacy and drug benefits. Studies have shown that by interacting directly with patients and/or their caregivers, there is a direct correlation with patient loyalty, retention, and improved outcomes. On average, compliance programs extend patients’ average length of therapy by over 30%. Additionally, HCP’s develop brand loyalty by the assistance that is provided to their patients. 

We work with our pharma partners to come up with a range of tactics to improve patient adherence and ROI. Some of these strategies may include:

• Provide empathetic support to patients and caregivers 
• Central hub for all patient calls with ability to warm transfer to other departments as needed (PAP, reimbursement, savings cards, AE, etc.) 
• Product instructions i.e. how to inject, where to inject, how to mix, with or without food, etc. 
• Direct mail and/or fulfillment of patient education materials, program materials 
• SMS text reminders
